The most common comment I hear is, "oh resin, I would like to know how to do it but it is to hard" So I thought I would dispel all those fearful rumors of how scary or difficult working with resin is! To show you it is not scary, come along to Real Tart Gallery 8th May at 5.30pm, I am doing a demonstration using two different types of resin, sharing my knowledge of the product, my experiences(you could say) over the past 5 years/ So go on come along, tickets only $10

Wow... I feel like a woman possessed his week, I was shown new technique this week and just had to do it. I have spent hours researching how and why it works and trying to find the product to do it. Finally today I think I have done it, thanks to Resene... here in New Plymouth, they were amazing! So friendly, and ever so helpful, absolutely going out of their way to help my find the product I was looking for...( I only have the name of two components that were in it) The below are all pages from a National Geographic magazing, I have photographed these probably a little early in the process.... but I think they are looking amazing. Their uses endless, Altered Book, Dominoes, Journalling, Mixed Media Backgrounds Aside from that I have found my joy for plaster again and I think I will do a tutorial next week using it on canvas! My resin works shops are going great.... Lots of happy creators now working on their own creations for Christmas presents. I am really looking forward to seeing their results. I have also done a fair bit of working on my transfer techniques and are looking forward to showing all you arty mixed media people, the below tiles are mdf with builders filler and use and image transfer technique over top. These are not finish.... I am just debating my next move..... LOL it could be a while with all that I have going on... I another on my wall that need completing and workshops to teach... not let alone my paid employment... Everything is a work in progress, much like life itself! :) Altered Image Studios took on another catering job this week, I did a book re-launch at Real Tart Gallery here in New Plymouth. It was fabulous... so if you are in New Plymouth and need a someone to look after your event give me a bell.
